Prayer of Sending

God of peace,
Who raised Jesus from the dead
And proclaimed through Him the victory of love over violence,
Send us now into the world as ambassadors of reconciliation.

Where there is hostility, may we sow peace.
Where there is division, may we seek understanding.
Where there is fear, may we bear witness to hope.
Where there is blame, may we speak forgiveness.

By the power of Your Holy Spirit,
Keep us faithful to the way of Christ,
That in thought, word, and deed
We may reflect the self-giving love revealed upon the cross.

And may the peace of the risen Lord remain with us always.

Amen
