Prayer of Petition: For Peacemakers

Eternal God,
Whose kingdom comes not by force but by self-giving love,
We pray for the grace to become peacemakers in a divided world.

Grant us courage where reconciliation is costly.
Grant us patience where understanding comes slowly.
Grant us humility where pride seeks to prevail.
Grant us compassion where wounds run deep.

May the peace spoken by the risen Christ
Take root within our hearts.
May His forgiveness shape our words.
May His mercy guide our actions.
May His Spirit lead us beyond fear and into love.

Make us instruments of Your peace,
That through our lives others may glimpse
The reconciling power of Your kingdom.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
