Dr. Emmanuel Katongole is Professor of Theology and Peace Studies and Director of the Ansari Institute for Global Engagement with Religion at the University of Notre Dame. A Catholic priest ordained by the Archdiocese of Kampala, Uganda, he is also a core faculty member of the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies. His work focuses on politics and violence in Africa, the theology of reconciliation, and the witness of Christianity in the global South, exploring how faith can foster peace, healing, and social transformation in contexts marked by conflict. He is the author of numerous books, including Who Are My People? Love, Violence and Christianity in Sub-Saharan Africa and Reconciling All Things: A Christian Vision for Justice, Peace and Healing
