Dr. Gena St. David

Dr. Gena St. David, PhD, LPC-S, LMFT-S, is a nonviolence researcher, therapist, educator, and author. She serves as Associate Professor of Counselor Education and Director of the Loise Henderson Wessendorff Center for Christian Ministry and Vocation at Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas. Her work explores the brain's capacity for nonviolence through the neurobiology of trust, drawing together neuroscience, attachment theory, trauma research, and spirituality. Passionate about cultivating cultures of peace, Gena equips individuals, churches, and organisations with practical, evidence-based tools for fostering trust, healing trauma, and embodying nonviolence in everyday life. She is the author of The Brain & the Spirit and The Nonviolent Brain.
